Can my VCR/DVD recorder combo record without an external tuner?
My new Magnavox VCR / DVD combo recorder has no tuner built in. I'm buying a new HDTV for Christmas office that has RCA cables for audio / video connected to my VCR / DVD recorder.
VCR / DVD requires a signal source to be able to save!
If your TV has A / V outputs, you can connect to a VCR and record what you watch on TV. Or you can buy a converter NTSC to ATSC.
