Unlike the not-so-popular bikes in "Mario Kart Wii," these new racing additions feel natural and manage to make racing fresh while still grounded in the long standing Mario Kart tradition. From banana peels to blue shells, the Mario Kart series has continually been a fun and entertaining racing experience, and the good news is none of that has changed with the Nintendo 3DS installment, "Mario Kart 7. After years of racing with motion controls on the Wii, it was odd playing Mario Kart with buttons again. It's kind of hard to mess up Mario Kart at this point. Although if the game let me race in 3rd person view with the motion controls, they might just have won out.
